About the Author
Raised on a diet of Stephen King novels, Bruce Lee action, John Landis films, and horror flicks by his loving mother, Anthony spent his formative years reading everything he could get his hands on and spending far too many hours in his room watching movies while drawing.  Anthony currently spends his evening coloring comics whilst Netflix plays in the background. After starting his own podcast The Next Element, Anthony found a group of like minded individuals on Twitter and found that if invited to a podcast the desire to blab takes him over.  Anthony is Knight of the Pod Table on the Spoiler Alert Theater podcast and can be found guest hosting all over the podiverse. Anthony has dealt with a 23 year addiction to comics and a longer addiction to movies. Even if he hasn't seen it or read it, he probably has an opinion about it.

Bachman’s Best – The Raid 2

The best thing I saw last week was The Raid 2. And WOW. What an amazing action film. The Raid was such a step up from a lot of the cliché action schlock that Hollywood had been churning out that I was afraid that coming back with The Raid 2 there might be some disappointment….

Bachman’s Best – New Warriors

The best thing I read last week was New Warriors vol 5 issue #1. I’ll just say it’s simple and sweet. In 1990 the first comic I bought with my own money was New Warriors vol 1 issue #1, and I was hooked. Not only did it cement me as a lifelong comic fan but…

Bachman’s Best – RoboCop (2014)

The best thing I saw last week was RoboCop (2014). Okay now let’s get 2 things straight, we’re talking about the new 2014 remake so I’m going to stop adding the date in parenthesis, also we would be talking about House of Cards Season 2 on Netflix but honestly as I am writing this Sunday…

Bachman’s Best – Die Hard

The best thing I saw last week was Die Hard. In fact I saw 4 of them. Luckily for me the other day when I was running around doing errands I found a 4 disc box set of DVD’s for the low low Wal-Mart price of just $12. I had been looking at ordering the…

Bachman’s Best – Dexter

Bachman’s Best – Wet and Reckless

The best thing I saw last week was Wet and Reckless.  Brought to us by Writer, Director, and Star Jason Trost, know in many circles as simply JTRO. Thanks to the awesomeness that is Matt Cohen’s Bagged and Boarded podcast I learned of the phenom that is JTRO and have seen most of his catalog…

Bachman’s Best – Arrow

The best thing I saw last week was Arrow. More specifically the mid-season finale of season 2 of Arrow on the CW, it was episode #9: “Three Ghosts”. A whole lotta story comes into play and plays out during this episode. This whole season has felt like it was building to this point each and…

Bachman’s Best – Amazing Spider-Man 2 Trailer

The best thing I saw last week was the Amazing Spider-Man 2 Trailer. This was a trailer I was really looking forward to after all the images from the film that have made it onto the internet pre-CGI effects. In all honesty I was really afraid of how Jamie Foxx was going to look as…

Bachman’s Best – Almost Human

The best thing I saw last week was Almost Human the new show that premiered last night on FOX. It’s a sci-fi procedural with all the good parts of Robocop without the crazy and a touch of the new DREDD without all the depressing scorched earth downside. Taking a small step into the future Almost…

Bachman’s Best – Thor: The Dark World

The best thing I saw last week was not surprisingly Thor: The Dark World. Marvel brings us back to the world of the tall blonds and battling gods. This is one more step along the path of Marvel and their movie properties continually kicking the crap out of the distinguished competition over at DC.  And…
