The best thing I saw last week was the Amazing Spider-Man 2 Trailer. This was a trailer I was really looking forward to after all the images from the film that have made it onto the internet pre-CGI effects. In all honesty I was really afraid of how Jamie Foxx was going to look as Electro when I saw the blue paint. Now after seeing Electro fully rendered with electricity travelling under his skin and the spectacular sequence where Electro is actually traveling as electricity I am excited to see what Jamie Foxx brings to the character and no longer scared of how his character is going to look.
Now knowing that Rhino and what appears to be Harry Osborn as Green Goblin 2 are in the film I have to admit I’m a little afraid on how both of those characters are going to look in the film. Being a long time Spider-Man fan I long for them to be able to do great versions of the classic looks of these characters but I know sometimes it just don’t work on film. And my concern of Electro was put to rest so here’s hoping when I’m sitting in the theater watching the flick that all of my concerns will be put to rest.
Lots of little things are in the trailer. We see a set of Dr. Octopus arms and Vulture wings in containers at Oscorp. On the computer screens there is mention of Venom and Dr. Morbius. After a little talk about secrets between Peter and Aunt May we see Peter finding a hidden subway car that his father was apparently using as a lab after he found out some scary information about Oscorp. So we see lots of villains in this film and possible lead ups to more. Does Sony actually have the balls to bring us a film in which Spidey faces off against an actual team of the Sinister Six? If so, I really don’t care how they get there as long as they actually give us a fight scene with Peter versus 6 villains.
And the super bonus, the suit looks much more classic and no longer has the basketball texture! See they do listen sometimes.

The new suit is about 1000000x better.
After watching the trailer I had to put in my copy of the first. I liked it a lot better the second time around.
That’s awesome. I don’t see how anyone that loves Parker couldn’t enjoy this movie. Of course it has problems like all comic films but the the quipiness in the suit to cover the nervousness was done amazingly well.
I think Im the only person who liked the basketball skin suit. I especially liked the eyes better than the white. Oh well. The trailer looks amazing and I cant wait.
You might be Scott. I liked the eyes being made out of sunglasses lenses, I thought that was a nice touch that made sense but I’m excited to see a more classic take on the suit.
