Finally!
It took many years but two years from now, DC will release a Wonder Woman film! I’m so excited about this, but there’s more. According to Ben Fritz of the Wall Street Journal, a Suicide Squad movie will join Wonder Woman premiering in 2o16, the next year will bring Justice League to the big screen. In 2018, The Flash and Aquaman (starring Jason Momoa as the title character) will appear and in 2019 Shazam (starring the Rock as Black Adam) and Justice League 2 will arrive in theaters! But there’s even more I tell you! DC has plans for a Cyborg film, a Green Lantern reboot (please be John Stewart) and more of the Dark Knight and the Man of Steel!
This is awesome! I wish nothing but the best and I want DC’s films to succeed. They have great characters and it’s going to be amazing to see all of them interact on the big screen. On top of that, we’re getting solo films which star a woman and a black man as superheroes! And yes I know this has been done before successfully (Blade) and unsuccessfully (Supergirl, Elektra), but something tells me this will be different. Okay Marvel it’s time for you to get the Black Panther, Black Widow and Captain Marvel films moving and on schedule. What are your thoughts my fellow geeks? Which one are you more excited for the Civil War news or all of this goodness from DC?
UPDATE:
We now know who’ll star as the Flash! According to Variety it’s actor Ezra Miller (We Need To Talk About Kevin and The Perks of Being a Wallflower).
In addition, they’ve got some info about the film’s story:
“The Flash” story revolves around Barry Allen, a scientist who awakes from a coma and is gifted with the power of super speed. Allen is a part of the Justice League and it is expected that Miller will have some sort of cameo in the upcoming pic “Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice” where that team is likely to be unveiled.”
Any thoughts?
