SP as he is known to his close associates has dedicated his life to working within the system to bring geeky humor and science fiction points of view to the mindless minions in charge of providing the freedoms, security and infrastructure to our lives. Given the opportunity, SP would gladly slip through the Stargate to begin colonizing a new planet and living the Little House On The Prairie life or suit up to mine the solar system's asteroids for precious metals, gems and hidden signs of ancient advanced societies. SP has a lifelong fascination with geeky shows, advanced technologies, revolutionary science and apocalyptic tales.

Stephen is a west coast Canadian who enjoys pretty much all things geeky. Whether it's podcasting, playing with tech or just watching a great re-run of Star Trek, Stephen is probably interested in it. GonnaGeek is the brain child of Stephen. You see, for years he has helped run the Fanboy Buzz comic book website but sometimes he found himself needing to talk more than just comics... that's why he created GonnaGeek.

  1. Layne Robinson says:

I just want to say that I’ve been using Magix for a while. I think, bang for the buck, it’s the best video editor software out there (outside of DaVinci Resolve which is free). I’m glad to see other people giving it a little love.

Been binging the show since finding it on the Podcasts We Listen To group on Facebook. I don’t have a podcast yet, but I’m gearing up to launch one in January.

  2. Stephen Stephen says:

Hey Layne, thanks for the message and thanks for checking out the show. As you may have heard in the binging, I did video stuff long before I ever did podcasting – so video is a strong passion of mine. I used an OLD version of Premiere for many years until I just had enough and decided to explore further. I was familiar with Sony Vegas Pro but not the Movie Studio version. I actually had purchased two other pieces of software while on my quest to find a consumer-level product I could recommend to others, and I feel quite the fool for not finding Movie Studio sooner. At this time, it’s hands-down the recommendation I have for a consumer who wants to do a little bit more than the basics.

    Thanks again for your comment.
