1. The Flash: Get the scoop on Killer Frost showdown (Date: 01 May 2017)
   With Caitlin (Danielle Panabaker) on death’s door, Team Flash was recently forced to unleash her villainous alter ego, Killer Frost, thus turning their former ally into an icy foe, hell-bent on making them all pay. “Obviously her meta powers have severely messed with her mind, so it’s not like Barry Allen, who is still Barry Allen even though he got super speed,” executive producer Andrew Kreisberg explains. “Her brain chemistry has been severely altered.” However, there may also be no quick fix to wait ails Caitlin, meaning this storyline could draw into next season. “For me personally as an actor, it’s been fun to play Killer Frost and I hope that it lasts a little while and we don’t necessarily tie it up in a bow right away,” Panabaker says. “I’m enjoying getting to play her.” “Obviously Danielle Panabaker is not going anywhere,” Kreisberg adds. “How and if she becomes Caitlin Snow again, or she remains Killer Frost or a version of Killer Frost, into season 4, you’re going to have to tune in.”

   “Supergirl” EP Andrew Kreisberg recently spoke with CBR about Rhea’s endgame, Supergirl’s moral dilemma, the return of Tyler Hoechlin’s Superman to the show, and the arrival of Mark Gibbons as General Zod. “We have amazing guest stars in the finale. We are bringing back people we’ve had all season. We have Calista Flockhart coming back. In the last two episodes, we have Lynda Carter returning as the President, Sharon Leal is coming back as M’gann. Obviously, there’s Tyler as Superman. These are some of the biggest episodes we’ve ever done. We’re so proud of Teri Hatcher, and so amazed she’s on our show and killing it as Rhea. There is a feature film quality finale, with huge guest stars, stunts and visual effects. We will get a glimpse of the Season 3 villain in the finale, which we’re also excited about.”

   Executive producer Andrew Kreisberg tells EW, “What’s really cool for anyone who thought that there wasn’t a plan, or we didn’t know, or we were making this up as we go, this was always where we were heading,” Kreisberg says. “The idea that the darkest villain we could come up with was actually a very damaged version of our hero was interesting and fresh to us. We’re not only competing with all the stuff that we’ve done on Flash, but we’re always competing with everything we’ve done on all the other shows. So to have our lead actor be both the hero and the villain isn’t something we’ve done before, so that was exciting for us as storytellers.”

   PRE-FINALE: While Team Arrow, A.R.G.U.S. and the SCPD launch a manhunt for Adrian Chase, Helix offers Felicity a solution to that problem — in trade for something big and illegal. On the heels of that, things get intense when Oliver and Felicity are trapped in the bunker together, while Lyla and Diggle deal with marital issues. Oliver also will deal with the forced release of violent criminals prosecuted by Chase as well as the delivery of a mysterious corpse encased in concrete.

4. Is Arrow Planning A The Walking Dead-Style Season Finale Cliffhanger? It Sounds Like It (Date: 24 April 2017)
   During an interview with ComicBook.com earlier today, Arrow executive producer Wendy Mericle referred to the upcoming season finale as a cliffhanger, and indicated that fans might not know who lives and who dies until season six. “We’re going to have a big bang of an ending, and we’re not going to know really the outcome until the end of season 6,” Mericle told ComicBook.com. “We don’t often do cliffhangers in the way that we’re doing this season, and we’re excited about this ending.” Mericle said of the flashbacks that have served as a kind of backup story in the show’s first five seasons, “Moving forward into season 6, we’re not calling it a reboot, because really the show is called Arrow and it’s still about Oliver and his team, and that’s not changing, but we don’t have the flashbacks. What that’s going to allow us to do is keep that device when we want it, but we don’t have to keep pushing the five year storyline down the road. It gives us a lot more real estate to play around with, a lot more space to hopefully bring in some cool villains and to tell new character stories, and we have a lot of new characters on the show whose backstories we haven’t really had the chance to experience.”

3. Supergirl Casts Man of Steel and Smallville Alum Mark Gibbon as General Zod (Date: 21 April 2017)
   Mark Gibbon, a Canadian character actor who played one of the oil rig workers rescued by Superman in Man of Steel, will next take on the role of General Zod in Supergirl. Gibbon will be a recognizable face to fans of geek entertainment, with roles on TV and in film including Smallville, Arrow, and The X-Files. He also has a voice-acting resume that includes playing the Incredible Hulk, The Thing, and Nick Fury in various Marvel animated projects.

4. The Flash’s Future Shock: ‘Barry Is in Shambles’ After Losing Iris (Date: 20 April 2017)
   The Barry of the future “is a guy who has lost everything,” Grant Gustin told TVLine while standing adjacent to the Flash’s time tunnel set, which for this episode was made to look dusty, desolate and in disrepair. With a nod to that mess, “Barry looks pretty similar — he is in shambles,” Gustin said. “He does not look good.” Devastated by losing the love of his life, this Barry is “totally alone” until his past self arrives, setting the stage for double the Gustin. “It’s a lot of scenes with Barry and Barry, and they’re pretty emotional scenes from both sides,” says the actor. All told, “They were some of the more challenging scenes I’ve done — if not just this year, in the whole series, because I’m my own scene partner.”

She also explained how Season 1 characters like Deathstroke and Yao Fei will return, delved into Felicity’s relationship with Oliver, teased Malcolm Merlyn and Artemis’ important roles in the Season 5 finale, discussed how the show will fill the gap left by the flashbacks in Season 6 and more.

   TVLine has learned that Lonnie Chavis aka Young Randall on NBC’s freshman hit will guest-star on the CW superhero series as Marcus, a young alien boy who bonds with James (played by Mehcad Brooks) after the rugrat’s mother attacks National City.

4. THE FLASH: VIBE & KILLER FROST FACE OFF IN NEW SYNOPSIS (Date: 13 April 2017)
   The CW has released the official synopsis for an upcoming episode of “The Flash,” titled “I Know Who You Are,” teasing a battle between Killer Frost and Vibe. Premiering May 2, the twentieth episode of Season 3 will feature guest star Anne Dudek as scientist Tracy Brand, who both Team Flash and Killer Frost are after. VIBE FACES OFF AGAINST KILLER FROST – Barry (Grant Gustin) and the team meet Tracy Brand (guest star Anne Dudek), a scientist, who may be the key to stopping Savitar. Unfortunately, Killer Frost (Danielle Panabaker) is also after Tracy so Team Flash must battle their old friend, which proves to be particularly difficult for Cisco (Carlos Valdes). Joe (Jesse L. Martin) and Cecile’s (guest star Danielle Nicolet) relationship takes a big turn.

   Oliver will have to use everything (and everyone) in his arsenal in order to take down Prometheus. “The alliances are going to be very surprising,” EP Wendy Mericle says of the finale. “You’re not going to believe who Oliver is working with to defeat Prometheus. It’s going to be really emotional. It’s going to be all about Oliver’s family, but not the family we’re thinking of right now. It’s going to end in a giant explosion, but not where we think it’s going to end, and the emotional punch is going to be bigger than the actual physical part of the bombs going off.”

2. ARROW: MANU BENNETT’S DEATHSTROKE WILL RETURN, CONFIRMS STEPHEN AMELL (Date: 10 April 2017)
   Before “Arrow” Season 5 thunders to its conclusion, Deathstroke will return to the series. On Twitter, star Stephen Amell confirmed that Manu Bennett will reprise his role as Slade Wilson. Executive producer Marc Guggenheim went on to confirm Bennett’s return as well.

3. Manu Bennett’s Deathstroke Will Return To Arrow, Despite Actor’s Denials (Date: 12 April 2017)
   Bennett had tweeted that on Monday that he wasn’t returning to Arrow, and then followed it up yesterday with a tweet that read, “Enough b.s about d.s!!! FACT: Deathstroke Arrow are currently filming in Vancouver IS NOT ME. I am in Auckland filming The Shannara Chronicles.” While Bennett was not currently filming Arrow, it seems that he is or will be at some point this week. The “other” Deathstroke was likely a stunt performer, there to shoot some scenes for which Bennett wouldn’t have removed the character’s trademark helmet.

4. Arrow: Katrina Law returns for epic Nyssa vs. Talia al Ghul showdown (Date: 11 April 2017)
   EW has learned exclusively that Katrina Law will reprise her role as Nyssa al Ghul for multiple episodes that culminate in an epic fight between Nyssa and her half-sister Talia al Ghul (Lexa Doig) in the upcoming season 5 finale.

5. Dolph Lundgren Joins Jason Momoa in ‘Aquaman’ (Exclusive) (Date: 12 April 2017)
   The veteran action star, whose credits range from Rocky IV to the recent Expendables movies, has joined Aquaman, Warner Bros.’ big-screen take on DC Comics’ underwater-breathing superhero. Lundgren will play King Nereus of the aquatic kingdom of Xebel, who claims Mera as his own and wants to kill Aquaman.

   The CW’s superhero drama has promoted Rick Gonzalez and Juliana Harkavy to series regulars for Season 6, TVLine has learned. Both actors joined the show during the current fifth season: Gonzalez plays vigilante Rene Ramirez, known as Wild Dog, and Harkavy plays Dinah Drake, who’s taken over as Team Arrow’s Black Canary following the demise of Laurel Lance.

1. SUPERGIRL & THE FLASH Plot Descriptions Tease The Arrival Of Biomax & Barry’s Trip To The Future (Date: 06 April 2017)
   The CW’s entire DC TV slate is currently on their spring hiatus, but when the action resumes at the end of the month, prepare for some big-time developments. On Supergirl, Jack Spheer (a.k.a. Lena’s ex-boyfriend) will make his debut and hold a press conference to debut his latest breakthrough in nano-technology, but when Kara Danvers, in an attempt to get back in Snapper Carr’s good graces, begins pressing him on the matter to show off her reporter skills, all hell breaks loose. Meanwhile, in a Tom Cavanagh-directed episode of The Flash, Barry will make his long-awaited trip to 2024 where he’ll attempt to discover Savitar’s identity, but he runs into something unexpected when he meets the future versions of his S.T.A.R. Labs team, who have become shells of their former selves after the death of Iris. Elsewhere, back in 2017, Killer Frost begins to wreak havoc in Central City!

2. ‘Supergirl’: Calista Flockhart To Return For Season 2 Two-Episode Finale (Date: 12 April 2017)
   It’s official. Cat Grant (aka Calista Flockhart) is returning for Supergirl‘s Season 2 two-episode finale, set to air May 15 and May 22. There’s been much speculation about when Flockhart might return. A regular in Season 1, the Ally McBeal alumna took on a lesser role as a recurring guest star for Season 2 in the wake of the show moving production from Los Angeles to Vancouver.

GREEN ARROW COMICS AND TOY NEWS

1. Kotobukiya Debuts Stunning Wonder Woman Movie Statue (Date: 07 April 2017)
   Wonder Woman is part of Kotobukiya’s ArtFX line of statues, which are all in 1/6 scale. The statue features Diana in an action-ready pose, bracing for combat with her sword and shield in hand. The base suggests it will interlock with other statues, though on its own is rather boring. Still, the lush reds and rich golds and blues are stunning, and Kotobukiya always excels at sculpting hair. The statue also holds a well-crafted resemblance to Gal Gadot, who has her trademark golden lasso at her side. Wonder Woman will retail for 13,800 Yen, which translates to about $124 USD. She is shipping sometime in July of 2017.

2. Funko Has All The Wonder Woman Exclusives You Could Want (Date: 08 April 2017)
   Funko has announced and shown off glam shots of all of their retailer exclusives for the upcoming Wonder Woman film. 3. Greg Rucka and Liam Sharp To Leave Wonder Woman After June’s #25 (Date: 12 April 2017)
   Both writer Greg Rucka and artist Liam Sharp announced today on social media that they will leave DC’s twice-monthly Wonder Woman title after the oversized Wonder Woman #25 ships on June 28. Rucka took to his Tumblr to tell fans that he would be leaving the title due to the strain of the twice-monthly schedule. Identifying it as his last issue on the title “for the time being,” Rucka advised fans against assuming the worst and wrote, “I just can’t maintain the pace on the title while also fulfilling my commitments to my other collaborators. It is, genuinely, as simple as that.” Shortly thereafter, Sharp took to Facebook to confirm that he, too, would be leaving the title — but cryptically teasing that he wouldn’t be going too far.

4. ‘DC Super Hero Girls’ Writer to Take on ‘Wonder Woman’ Comic This Summer (Exclusive) (Date: 13 April 2017)
   Shea Fontana will take over the title in July, following a critically acclaimed run by writer Greg Rucka. Fontana has signed on to write five issues of the twice-monthly series for the heroine, beginning with July’s No. 26, with a storyline that will introduce a new villain into the DC Universe. The move comes fresh off the success of her DC Super Hero Girls work. The artist for Fontana’s first two issues will be Mirka Andolfo, whose work has previously appeared in the DC Comics: Bombshells series. Fontana and Andolfo’s first issue of Wonder Woman, No. 26, will be released in comic stores and digitally July 12, with No. 27 to be released July 26.
