Yesterday, Twentieth Century Fox proclaimed that April 26 will be known as Alien Day.  In a similar notion to last year’s Back to the Future Day, Alien Day will celebrate the science fiction horror franchise, Alien that started with the first film by Ridly Scott that was released in 1979. The date 4/26 is a nod to the exmoon LV-426 where the xenomorphs were first discovered by Ripley and her crew mates.

Another product that will be released is an original drama from Audible.com titled Alien: Out of the Shadows.  Written by Tim Lebbon and Dirk Maggs, the  story takes place between Alien and Aliens, and stars Rutger Hauer, Corey Johnson, Matthew Lewis, Kathryn Drysdale, Laurel Lefkow, Andrea Deck, and Mac McDonald.
