  1. I think it might be the worse idea for a story I’ve seen in all my years of reading comics. But I’m a huge Nick Spencer fan, the writer, as he is resposible for the Superior Foes of Spider-Man and The Fix from Image, both fantastic stories. Marvel wouldn’t let Nick make a change this huge unless there was a great story to back it. In my Marvel Zombie heart I think it’s the worse idea I’ve seen slapped on Captain America in all his days. But he’s been dead, and a time traveller, and a Nazi mind control victim, and Bucky became the Winter Soldier, and Cap was a werewolf…so I think I’ll wait until I read the full story to see how I feel about it. Fingers crossed Nick pulls off a fantastic story.

  2. Update – I read the first issue. It’s interesting…and I added it to my pull list. So just for that alone I think Nick Spencer wins. He made me add a Steve Rogers book to my monthly list which I don’t think I’ve ever done before.
