For years now, before Iron-Man came into fruition, director Edgar Wright was working on bringing Ant-Man to the big screen. Things seemed to be going well and we even got a picture of Ant-Man’s helmet a few months back, along with casting news. Until today. In a joint statement with Marvel, Wright has announced his departure from the film, which you can read below:

“Marvel and Edgar Wright jointly announced today that the studio and director have parted ways on Ant-Man due to differences in their vision of the film. The decision to move on is amicable and does not impact the release date on July 17, 2015. A new director will be announced shortly.”
