We all saw the Superbowl spot back in February but today the trailer arrived in all it’s robotic glory. And here it is:
It appears the Autobots have worn out their welcome as we see a “Remember Chicago” billboard in the beginning of the trailer. And that sentiment is felt even more when Stanley Tucci tells the Autobots “We don’t need you anymore,” says . And when Kelsey Grammer ominously states, “A new era has begun. The day of the Transformers is over.” It appears that this film will be one of redemption for our favorite robots.
We get a glimpse of some new additions to Team Prime such as Crosshairs (the green bot with the double-guns and double-parachute who reportedly transforms into a 2014 Chevrolet Corvette C7 Stingray) and a red Autobot. We also introduced to a new villain who doesn’t appear to be Megatron, perhaps it’s Galvatron? Finally we see two of the Dinobots-Strafe, a two-headed Pteranodon seemingly based on Gen One Dinobot Swoop and Grimlock, the awesome T-Rex who gets backhanded by Optimus Prime.
Speaking of Prime, check out his new streamlined look versus his Dark of the Moon appearance:
Also check out these new Age of Extinction posters which debuted yesterday and feature Mark Wahlberg, and actors Jack Reynor and Nicola Peltz along with the ominous words ‘The Rules Have Changed”:
With a new cast and new robots, this franchise appears to have been re freshened. We got great actors such as Mark Wahlberg, Kesley Grammar, and Stanley Tucci to help take us on another new adventure with the Autobots, Decepticons and Dinbots along for the ride. And of course Michael Bay returns for this fourth installment, I say we’ve got a good movie coming to us on June 27th. What do you think?
