Sony just released a new featurette for the upcoming sequel The Amazing Spider-Man 2 and it’s all about Gwen Stacy(Emma Stone) and Peter Parker (Andrew Garfield). You can watch the clip below:
The new clip delves into the couple’s relationship which has been developing since the last film, as they attempt to reconcile Peter’s crime-fighting with Gwen’s academic career. Director Marc Webb revealed that a major source of conflict arises between the couple when Gwen’s offered a scholarship to Oxford University. Just because Gwen’s dating Spidey doesn’t mean that she doesn’t have her own dreams and goals. “She’s not waiting around for Peter Parker to decide if he can be with her or not be with her,” producer Matt Tolmach explained.
So will the couple stay together? Will they drift apart? Or will something entirely different occur? We’ll just have to wait when the Amazing Spider-Man 2 hits theaters on May 2nd.
