Sorry for the lack of updates guys between the holidays, another ear infection, in probably just sheer laziness, I didn’t get to watch any of the shows till the weekend. That being said we had a great climactic week with many of the shows weighing in with their next to last episode for the fall season. I’m going to also probably cut down on my reviews. It seems like there’s not a lot of readers, so maybe it would be better to have a weekly review instead of every night. So if you’re ready to get started let’s take a look at memorable moments from this past week.
So let’s start off with once upon a time Neverland. This episode was a lot flashbacks to when Henry was adopted. We learn that Regina almost gave Henry back to the adoption agency because she cannot get him to stop crying. We also or pan will do anything to have his way. I guess that’s the never growing up child in him. Keep your eyes on Peter Pan at the end of the show, he shows, just how crafting and how determined he it. This leads him back to Storybrooke to continue his mayhem.
So it was a great episode. I kinda expected a little more from the defeat of pan. So I’m really glad to see that Peter Pan had another trick of his sleeve. Now now that brings us up to December 8th which I have not got to watch that episode yet. That will be my review that I hope to put out Thursday night Friday morning. I know from the commercials they plan on blowing up Storybrooke.
Our next show was Witches of East End and Dash and Freya decide to get back together, even though this writer’s opinion she’s meant to be with Killian, and push their marriage ahead of schedule. With the rehearsal dinner we find out how powerful and how conniving Penelope is. We also learn that the witches are not actually from this realm. Apparently all witches come from Asgard origins . And there’s a portal that can lead them home, the key being the serpent, that Wendy and Joanne destroyed. However a mortal has discovery that Ingrid is the key to opening it and he wants to use her to validate his father’s work. We also find out, that Joanne husband is still alive and still loves her. But has stayed away all these years. I can’t wait poor guy honestly it would be hard to watch your daughter die over and over again. And he would have to do this twice. We also find out that there is a son who is still trap on Asgard.
Okay I so I’m not thrilled with how Witches of East End is going. Most things in this series, is acceptable. But to claim Asgard as your home, is not only hard to chew, but really feels overdone with Thor and by extension S.h.e.i.l.d. I feel like they are just capitalizing on the fanboys. And as a self proclaimed fanboy of Norse mythology I really hope they are not trying to make the girls out to be goddesses. Both Freya and Ingrid are goddesses from Norse mythology Freya more commonly known, but Ingrid just as important as the female version of Ing, the god of Fertility.
Monday was a quiet night for our shows. But if you got to tune in, it was the mid season finale for the Blacklist. If you have a chance over the holidays get caught up to this show is one of the best on Tv.
I almost forgot Almost Human was new this week. The chemist that works for the FBI as in the synthetic department for Dorian and the androids goes undercover to stop the sell of illicit algae. ALGAE? This is the run of a mill drug dealer corrupt cop scenario, it does give us a good look at the scientist and just how in depth the androids go. Including those that are being used and recycle for the crime syndicate.
This is becoming a great series. I love Dorian and I I feel like I’m going to go back to watch all TV shows because I’m starting to love him as an actor.
Tuesday we actually only had one of our normal shows, but man The Originals knocked it out of the park. When tonights show occurs we find ourselves on the brink of war. Rebecca is conspiring with Marcel to trap her brother Klaus for no less than 52 years. Marcel says this is the time because it was how long Rebecca was daggered. So we have a great fight scene, one of the best in The Originals, actually reminds me of why Klaus became my favorite character of The Vampire Diares. Klaus uses the coin trick of Marcel’s, same one as when Josh was embraced, the person who picks the coin up will be spared. As the war begins Marcel is the one that scoops up the coin to save his people. This puts Marcel at Klaus’s mercy, but because Klaus see Marcel as the boy he saved a 100 years he puts him in his advisor role. His temper get the best of him and he is forced to put down the human council except the priest and tells him to rebuild the council. The father agrees but only if he will convince Cami to leave New Orleans. This leads to an emotional confrontation between Cami and Klaus revealing all off his pain and fear from what his father and his brother did to him. He then come tell her to leave and forget about him.
Probably the best parts of this episode came the last five minutes, well besides the fight, this is when Elijah admits he was wrong and reaffirmed his love for his family. We also find out that the werewolf side of Klaus’ s line is still alive. A Devina reveals the truth to Cami by removing all compulsion. I’m so happy for this series. Not only is Joseph Morgan and Daniel Gillies wonderful together as brothers, but they put the fun in being a vampire. I really hope their parents series take a look at all those things that the originals are doing right.
Wednesday was a spectacular day for shows. We spent the first part of the night with Arrow. Where’s the missing people who had been injected with start showing up including a friend of Roys. We also find out, what was on that Japanese sub a miracle serum that is imbued its survivors with ultimate strength speed and intelligence. I’m wondering if they’re going to reveal that Oliver was a test subject when he was captured. The new super villain, is creating the miracle serum and injecting random people in city to create his army. We also find out Oliver’s mother has ties with Ras Al Ghul. When in the hour ends, arrow is fighting for his life, and a new member has been added to the team. He is a CSI / chemist. We also find out that his mother were killed why a supernatural being.
So this Wednesday is going to be great. I’m extremely excited about the episode. And I’m glad I start watching this series for the column. I don’t even know how I want the series to go. I’m just kinda along for the ride.
We move on to the Tomorrow People, where Russell puts the entire group in jeopardy by kidnapping uncle Jedikiah. Flashback we actually see more of the relationship between Jedikiah and John as well as the history of ultra.,In one of the flashbacks we see Jedikiah try to talk John out of being the first test subject in the experiment that would allow him to kill. It looks like the two had quite a bond. The team debates about what to do with Jedikiah with Cara wanting to interrogate him using her powers. Remember, he thinks she no longer has powers. Stephen rushes back to Ultra with a cold blue while Jedikiah tells them that Thanatos simply means death. Cara is not able to read his mind due to his ability to block telepaths. Jedikiah tells John that it is an advantage for both of them to get him out of the headquarters. Apparently there is more to John’s history besides his ability to kill. In a flashback we see Jedikiah make John kill someone to ensure that he is capable of it. John moves to kill him only to find out that it was just a test. Cara relates the memory she saw, telling John that Jedikiah loved him as a son. Meanwhile, back at Ultra, they know Jedikiah is missing and they’re tracking the telepathic signal using teleports.
Julie give us another great episode for the Tomorrow People. My question is that if John was so close to the family how come he didn’t grow up with stephen. In the next suppose they actually try to kill stephen to reconnect him with his father, who John killed in a memory from last episode. I’m not sure how this is going to work but I hope they do well with the episode. Next week will be the midseason finale so I’m expecting a cliffhanger.
Our next great show was American Horror Story coven. The key point to this episode was the coven trying to convince Fiona to kill herself. Though I feel really bad for her, at least Myrtle and Misty Day, are now with the coven. We also are shown how much Queenie has joined the voodoo side. In one scene Queenie bring Delphine a hamburger because they’re not feeding her, but Marie laveau cuts off Delphine hands before cutting off her head and mailing it to the coven. We also get a lovey dovey moment between Kyle and Zoe, where Kyle tell her that he loves her. As Madison listens from the hallway. I’m not sure how I’m liking the hunter, but looking at the previews of the next show it does seem he is going to get the full swing of the voodoo queen hate.
Our final show for the week is The Vampire Diaries. And wow was it a show. It’s a toss up between this and the originals who has the better show for the week. Most of the show takes place in the Whitmore house. We learn that Aaron is actually the last remaining with Whitmore. And this is due to the experiments that the family in the Council of Augustine ever performed on the vampires. In the 1950s Damon was a prisoner of the Augustine Council I was experimenting on for 5 years before he escaped with the help of another prisoner. Damon will return was supposed to free said prisoner however due to a fire and vervain was unable to free his friend. Which would cause Damon to pledge and enact his revenge when the entire family. Where he pledged to kill all but one of each generation. His last kill was Aaron aunt 2 months prior to the season starting. Big weekend road trip he called it. We also this is parked between Katherine and Stefan we can go as the deal with his ptsd calls by the safe and continue will drowning.
So I love this episode it was wonderful. I’m glad they’re finally playing to one of their stronger characters. And they’re also trying to explain why Damon is the good “bad” guy. My biggest issue has actually been the fan girls of the show. The die hard Damon supporters accept that there was a reason for revenge. But fans of Stefan and Caroline have been jumping up and down about him killing innocent people yet they have killed many themselves. Claiming that this one act proves the Damon and Elena should not be together.
