The best thing I saw last week was not surprisingly Thor: The Dark World. Marvel brings us back to the world of the tall blonds and battling gods. This is one more step along the path of Marvel and their movie properties continually kicking the crap out of the distinguished competition over at DC. And this flick is another high notch on the bed post. Thor, Odin, the warriors 3: Hogun, Volstagg, and a shiny new Fandral played by the spectacular Zachary Levi, Heimdall, Sif, Frigga, are once again joined by Jane Foster and here lovely crew to face off against the evil forces of the dark elves led by Malekith. It’s simple, it’s bloody, it’s powerful, and it’s a damn joy ride from beginning to end. From an attack on Asgard sequence that feels like it would have fit nicely in a Star Wars film to a battle that might need to be checked with Guinness for the most distance traveled in a single fight the sprawling aspects of this movie go an extra 2 steps just to crank up the fun.
It’s a rock’em sock’em good times folks, grab your friends and head to the theater as this is a must see on the big screen. Its hammer time people!
i loved the movie. If you watched the credits the aerial fight scenes were actually done by lucas.
We did stay through all the credits but only waiting for the stingers. It makes total sense that some of the Lucas crew had a hand in it. That sequence was smooth and fantastic, they did a hell of a job.
