Good evening I hope you’ve grabbed your popcorn. This fall season is looking like the best in fantasy/sci fi. Most of the syndicated channels have at least one show to tantalize your taste buds. Each night through the week we will watch it and review it, I’ll tell you what I liked about the show and what i think might have been better.
For fall 2013 we will be looking at the following shows
Sunday : Once upon a Time,
Monday Sleepy Hollow, Beauty and the Beast, Almost Human
Tuesday : S.H.I.E.L.D., The Originails, Supernatural, Ravenswood
Wednesday : Arrow, Tomorrow People, American Horror Story: Coven.
Thursday The Vampire Diaries,Once Upon a Time in Wonderland
Friday: Dracula, Grimm

I am a tv junkie so if you have not watched all the shows and you don’t want me to spoil it please hold off on reading. Think I missed something or disagree leave it in the comments.
If you’re ready lets get the reel rolling.
Sleepy Hollow 01×01 Pilot
Set in modern day Sleepy Hollow, Ichabod (Tom Mison) has came back from the grave, when the headless horseman was resurrected. The headless horseman kills the Sheriff August Corbin thrusting his partner Abby Miller (Nicole Beharie) into the reborn mythos. They set out to find clues of what the horseman wants and an impending war between two witch covens one representing light and dark. One of the first victims is the Reverend that looks suspiciously like the one from the day Ichabod decapitated The headless horseman under the direction of then General George Washington. In this episode we also get a little bit of Abby’s back story her sister and her had seen four white oaks and a demon when they were young. This had driven her sister mad, and leaves Abby second guessing herself.
My reaction: I was very pleased with this episode, and it sits very well at being a long running series. The acting in my opinion was spot on, Tom Mison played a very believable Ichabod, and Nicole Beharie’s Abby’s representation of a headstrong skeptic that wants to believe was very convincing. There was two small items that threw me a little. The first was the gross use of rounding when Ichabod was being interrogated. In that scene they tell Ichabod that it has been 250 years since the battle of the hudson river. they also re affirm this statement when Ichabod tells abby that his wife had been dead for 250 years, however the story opens in 1781 and he awakens in 2013 that is a mere 232 years it would have been more reasonable for him to have been told it was 230 years ago. Eighteen years is a lot especially in the 1781 thats a new generation. The second thing I noticed is they put a max cap on the seasons. At one point Ichabod is reading from Washington’s bible to Abby and he talks about two paths being intertwined for seasons years. Its never a good thing to put a cap on a show, but fox has a tendency to cap all good shows at seven season.
All and all I loved the show had just enough humor, action and mythos to keep this tv junkie addict

This was a REALLY good season premier! It will probably be my favorite show this season if it can maintain the quality and Agents of SHIELD isn’t good.
