Bravo to Agents of Shield writer DJ Doyle. Also: How dare you, Agents of Shield writer DJ Doyle? How dare you?
This one got me right in the feels. Coulson’s monologue intercutting with the team we know and love proving him right was everything. Mack having to fight his own parents to the death is definitely something I should have expected from the writer who was behind Jiaying’s vivisection, May shooting a little girl, Daisy getting Hived, Yoyo meeting her future armless self, and Fitzsimmons’ marriage-counseling-insanity-hour. Bravo, indeed. I’d call this a swan song, if that swan was also winged hell-beast feasting away at our souls.
Not much else to say about the episode. It was real good, guys.
