CBR can now reveal that Patton Oswalt will be returning to Agents of SHIELD for the upcoming final season of the series, potentially having a tie to his multiple characters from the rest of the show.
Oswalt will appear in an early episode of the final season. It’s unknown exactly what role Oswalt will be playing, but given the time-spanning events of the upcoming season of Agents of SHIELD, it’s likely that he’ll be playing a member of the Koenig family, potentially even the first member of the family to join SHIELD, setting up his eventual other roles in the show.
