Happy hump day!!. I hope you all had a great day and are ready to kick our on demand into gear. Tonight we had a really great episode of Tomorrow People, and two good but could have been better episodes of Arrows and Coven. One common theme though in every episode tonight we had at least one great fight scene. Zoe versus the zombies in Coven, Arrow and Canary versus the league and Cara versus John for the right to party.
Arrow: League of Assassins
So the big reveal tonight in Arrow is Sara’s alive. Not just to arrow, but also to her family. We also find out where she has been for the last four years. She was a member of the League of Shadows. She had to reveal herself because her father is endangered and she has to get him out of the city. Queen’s mother also has decided to take a
deal, life in prison with a chance of parole, to hide her secrets, however Oliver convinces her that her family will always stick by her. There is a big battle where Sara and Arrow fight to save Quentin and they are able to defeat the league sending back a message that her Family is off limits. At the end Diggle and Queen set down for a drink and Oliver explains the 5 years and what had become of his life.
So not much of an episode had two really big things that happened otherwise just a large fight scene though it did introduce the league. I felt so bad for Quentin, to find his daughter just to watch her walk out again. Hopefully it can give him a sort of peace for now, but I doubt its the last we see of the Black Canary. I wish there was more content in this episode. I got very bored watching it
Tomorrow People: All Tomorrow’s Parties
Jedidiah’s mysterious boss insists on meeting Stephen when he breaks Ultra protocol during a training session. The boss is not happy with the failed capture attempts. Stephen visits Astrid and asks her to the home coming.
She is still mad at him for lying about his powers but she says she will think about it. Down in the subway, Stephen and Cara talk to their residence genetics specialist. She believes if she can get her hands on a sample of the serum she may be able to figure out a vaccine to render it useless. Stephen sits in on a suspect that Ultra has taken that they are going to neutralize his powers, because he was teleporting people out of maximum security prisons. While there he takes a secondary vile of the solutions before being told by Uncle Jed that he is going to meet someone high in the company. Cara, Russell, and John decide to take the Tomorrow People to crash a party for a celeb, so they can experience what its like to live and not hide. After Russell, explains the rules, they all go on the hunt for the perfect outfit including Stephen and Astrid. Jedidiah interrupts Stephen runway show and takes him to talk to this boss, where Stephen finds out that this leader is a Tomorow person himself. He is able to bleed Stephens mind of information including that the Tomorrow people refuges are going to be going topside. The party becomes a trap and they set it up so that the kids can’t use their power. In a rain of bullets Stephen is able to conjure enough force to make the power box explode. As they are running one of the waiters shoots at them and Johns secrets are revealed to Cara. They get back to the safe haven and are trying to keep their caustites low, but the geneticist is hurt bad. John says he’s not going to break protocol again and Stephen will not accept that and blinks out holding her in his arms. They start to investigate where the leak came from and Stephen is positive its him but Kurt confesses that he had went to see his mom once more and they had treated her so that he would give up John. Cara becomes enraged and takes Kurts powers using the serum. Stephen after the drama comes home and is confronted by Astrid, she wants to know what is happening and why he is covered in blood. He says that he can handle what he saw and decides he needs a friend that is not being affected by it. Stephen decides to shows her his powers, by teleporting her to the place they met. and She doesn’t seem afraid.
So, this is a really good episode, it seems the lies everyone is telling is finally catching up with them. I think the boss is actually Stephens dad. I felt really bad for Kurt, it would be hard to let go of everything you ever cared about. I am glad that Astrid stood by Stephen’s side. He needs a shoulder to help him hold himself up.
American Horror Story Coven : Burn, Witch. Burn!
So we start this episode where the other ended with the horde of zombies attacking the school. We also get a flashback to Madame Delphine LaLaurie last halloween party, Where she butchered her slaves and server their organs, in bowls for her house of horror themed party. During the party she catches her daughters plotting to kill
her, so she locks them in her torchure attic to treat them like the slaves. Back in the present: Fiona waits in the hospital for news about her daughter. according to the doctor it appears that sulfuric acid was thrown on her and she lost her eyesight. She began hallucinating a very scary hospital where all the patients know what she did, she finds a woman who has given birth to stillborn baby and she coaxes her into holding the child and cuddling it. Fiona uses her magic to bring the child back to life.
At the school the zombies being their attack and Luke, the hunky neighbor believes its just local boys playing a prank but then the stab him in the back. Zoe tries to get them to go to Spalding attic, but he wont let them in and Queenie can make all the steps. When Zoe turns around she finds that Nan has slipped out to try to save Luke so she goes after her. She begins banging pans together to have the undead follow her. Meanwhile inside Delphine tries to take care of Queenie by putting her to bed and getting ice. Through the kitchen window she see’s her daughter. She has an emotional moment with her daughter and realizes what her daughter has become is because of her. She lets her daughter in but when trying to reach her, the daughter begins strangling Delphine. Then makes ago for Queenie, when Delphine awakes she stabs the corpse with a poker saying it was the only kind thing she has ever done for her daughter. Zoe on the outside finds a chainsaw and begins hacking the zombies to bits just in time to save Luke and Nan. Soon though the Chainsaw loses gas and in an instant she chants a spell that from the heart. This knocks Marie Laveau back into her body, and the zombies crumble without their controler. Marie Laveau’ states she feels a new power has come to the academy. Back at the hospital, Cordelia husband shows up and there is an argument between Fiona and him about who is better for Cordelia. Fiona leaves the room and he holds Cordelia’s hand and she gets a flash about what he was doing. When Fiona returns to the home Nan and Zoe are burning the bodies and the Council shows up. the Charge Ms Snow with the murder of Madison and the disfigurement of Cordelia. They take her out to the fields and burn her alive at the stake.
So not my favorite episode of Coven. I loved Kathy Bates’s performance this week, I think she really nailed it. I also was not happy that Fiona manipulated Queenie. I hope before the end of the episodes we stop Fiona and her evil ways. It was also a shock to see Misty Day at the end with ms Snow. It had to be hard for that character her her self died that way. I’m hoping that Misty can bring Madison back as well but with the amount she has rotted under Spalding’s care her spirit might be too far gone.
