Happy tuesday everyone, i hope it has been wonderful. I’m gearing up for a great weekend at the movies. We have two movies coming out that would be worth throwing money down on. Of course the Blockbuster of the weekend is going to be Thor: the Dark world which is our second Marvel movie since the Avengers. This looks EPIC, but i think Tom Hiddleston is going to steal the show. He has been promoting the living daylights out of the movie. Another that I personally am looking forward to which I believe will get a few Oscar nods, is The Book Thief, about a girl living in Nazi germany that steals and preserves books.
So for tonight’s shows we have a common theme, we are stronger when we work together. We have the team uniting to save Simons from a deadly virus on SHIELD. The family uniting on The Originals to save their youngest member. And On Ravenswood we have the teens uniting against the curse to help save Miranda.
The Originals: Fruit of the Poisoned Tree
So with the Originals tonight we have epicness. In this episode Agnes the elder witch of New Orleans tries to kill
the baby through a cursed syringe that cause a body temp to raise to the point of miscarriage. Since Sophie and Hayley are link Anges injects Sophie with it in order to get at Klaus. Klaus enlists the human pillar of the community to find Agnes and get the object and demands that she reverses the curse. Its Devina that manages to save the fetus by performing an unlinking spell right in time. Meanwhile, Marcel becomes more nosy about Klaus’s true reason of being in New Orleans after finding out he has been lying about where he is living. Marcel , goe to the garden and listens to the story of what happened during the party at the cauldron. After Hayley is safe, Elijah goes to Klaus to deal with Agnes and Rebeckah decides to leave. Rebeckah before she leaves town drops by Marcel’s and they have passionate sex. She tries to convince Marcel to leave but he says Kings don’t run. He instead follows Josh and finds out about Hayley. As Elijah goes to leave, Sophie begs him to not let Klaus kill Agnes. Reluctantly he agrees that “klaus will not lay a hand on her”. When he arrives at the church Klaus is of course posed to snap her neck. Elijah tells his brother that he does forgive him if he doesn’t make Elijah break his promise. Sadden by his brother’s request to spoil his fun Klaus steps back, but Elijah tells him not to worry. With that he rips out the hearts of all of her guarding and then snaps her neck. He elegantly tells her that he promised Klaus wouldn’t hurt her never said anything about himself. When he comes home he finds out that Marcel has taken Hayley.
OMG!! Each episode of this series gets better and better. I was cheering at Elijah when he goes after Agnes. “No One hurts my family”. I feel like that is one thing that makes this show so appealing, we all wish our family was like the Mikelsons they have their differences but they fiercely will protect each other. My predictions for the next show based on the commercial, is that the Hayley’s wolf pack will come to her rescue. I also am hoping since they should be filming it right about now that they have a great Christmas special this year. Also incase you were wondering cause I was the poem that Klaus is reading at the beginning of the episode is A Poison Tree by William Blake.
SHIELD :F.Z.Z.T
The start of this episode reminds me of childhood experiences that have till this day prevented me from enjoying truly spooky movies and fun houses. Luckily my scout leader never ended up dead or I think I would not have ever been able to go outside after the sun set. Set in Wrigley PA they are searching for something that can cause a power storm of lighting. Skyy asks if there’s anyone in the index that can cause that. Um duh, Thor? A second anomaly occurs as May, Coulson and Grant go to investigate, and find a second body floatinging with burn marks on his head.. As they do background on the counselor and the second victim, Skyy finds a link that they were both
on the same firefighter squad that responded to New York. We cut over to meet our another firefighter who appears to have a helmet of one of the Chitauri invaders. It appears that the rust they had tried to clean off the helmet was a virus that enters the brain and electrocute it. They arrive at the firehouse to find the last of the firefighters that had done the cleaning getting ready to blow. Coulson seduces the sick firefighter and evacuates the building. He tells the firefighter its okay to die because he has, and he knows he was gone longer than people are tell him. The firefighter asks Agent Coulson, what’s it like, and his response was “ It was beautiful”. At that point the firefighter is no longer scare and tells Coulson to leave. They take the helmet and head back to the ship, they are going to drop it in the sandbox so that it can not infect anyone else. While Simmons is working on a sample from the dead firefighters she discovers the virus transfers from electromagnetic shock. At this point tools begin to float and Agent Coulson is forced to lock her in her lab, because she had became infected when she was shocked from the first victim. She works on a antiserum but is seemingly unsuccessful, Fitz joins her because they do everything together and he’s not going to let his best friend (girlfriend?) go without a fight. They realize that they need someone that was immune to the virus in order to create the antibodies needed so they sawb Chitauri cells from the helmet and create the vaccine but it appears to kill the mouse they tried it on.So she locks Fitz away after hitting him in the head with a fire extengusih and jumps to try to save the team. Grant jumps out with a parachute, and saves her administering the cure in free fall. Yay!! Coulson reveals that he feels different since he came back, May tells him yes he is different no one goes through pain like that and stays the same.
This series is starting to get really good and I’m curious how next week they are going to include Thor: The Dark World with the plot. I was almost as emotional as Skyy was when I thought they were going to kill Simmons, but I doubt they are going kill one of our main characters unless its a season family or premier.
Ravenswood: Believe
Tonight the town holds Miranda’s funeral and everything gets weird. It turns out the late Mayor Matheson, Luke and Olivia’s father, figured out what’s been going on in Ravenswood and he was murdered because of it. His high school girlfriend, Abigail Wheeler, was one of the five kids killed in the laboratory fire of 1992. She was trying to contact Charles to warn him about the curse, before his passing.
The five kids discover all of this because Olivia starts seeing Abby, first at her father’s grave and then at the
school. The teens decided to hold a seance to conjure Abby or Meranda, and find out for every spirit that is trying to help them there is another that is out to kill the five. It all has to do with the Five Pact, which we’re assuming is something that perhaps the town’s elders entered into after the flood of 1896 that keeps Ravenswood soldiers safe during wartime but the sacrifice is five kids once the lone soldier survivor returns from war.
I am glad I wait till morning to watch this with Adahy. The more ghost popup the more I doubt I will be able to watch it at night. I know I hid under my blanket at least twice during this episode. I don’t careful things to pop out at me.
On a side note normally I do not review Supernaturals, because I am still trying to get caught up, but tonights episode I wound up watching while on the phone with my mother and I will say if you want a good laugh the episode is well worth watching. Its not really any part of the main storyline so it won’t spoil anything, but one of the brothers drinks a shaman potion so he can communicate with a dog that was the only witness to a crime. This potion gives him the ability to talk to all animals and also comes with animal like side effects. This leads to some humorous conversations and actions.
Tonight’s Popcorn is a wonderful combinations of fruit and crunchy popcorn. But there is a lot of sweetness to this dish so keep the amount eaten before bed to a minimum or sleepy won’t be easy if you are affected by sugar.
