Welcome back from a long weekend. Since it was halloween and my husband, Adahy’s birthday we were out and about haunting the towns. Halloween Haunt at Kings Island was wonderful if you are around Ohio next year you should definitely check it out. We are going to start with Friday and head through the weekend with our shows .
Dracula: The Blood Is the Life
First on our plate is a healthy helping of good old fashioned vampire fun, with NBC’s Dracula. We join Dracula who has renamed himself for the Victorian Age under the name Mr Alexander Grayson. Mr Grayson is a social elite, who is an american entrepreneur wanting to bring advance science to the masses. Under this cover Dracula is actually there the seek revenge against the the Order of the Dragon. We have been introduced to many of our classic characters each changed just a little bit to keep it from being the same old story. Such as Jonathan Harker, is a gauche journalist this time around that seeks acceptance from high society. With being the first episode we had a lot of introductions and setting the stage for classic vampire seductions. Mia and Lucy become entranced with Mr Grayson, and Jonathan is in love with Mia, same as within Bram Stoker’s classic.
So I’m am not sure of this series. I’d love to say it held all of my hopes for another vampire series but I felt it was lacking. I had to watch this episode three separate times just to finish it because it lost my attention multiple times and was rather slow at points. I hope the writers pull away from classic Dracula, Cause this is supposed to be a more modern version so things can be more intense more Vampire party.
Once Upon a time in Neverland: Good Form
On Sunday we started the night learning about one of our greatest villains of our childhood. We find out that hook was first in Neverland because his king that he was sailing for was looking for dreamshade, supposedly it was a cure all. Killian didn’t feel right about it and his brother who was captain at that time said that their King would not betray them. Pan showed up and warned the brothers that Killian was right, but to prove them both wrong killians brother cuts himself with the plant and it feels fine for a few minutes but then starts getting the spider veins and attacks his heart. Pan tells Killian that there is a way to save his brother but the island is the key and there’s a price to pay. Back in the current time Prince Charming is starting to die and they go to gather rope to set a trap for the lost boys so they can send a message to Henry. Hook convinces the ladies that he and the prince will go get more rope where hook through a series of lies takes charming to the only known cure. Through with his experience with his brother and the nightshade, he knows the spring that they are going to will cure Charming only as long as he stays in neverland because he becomes part of its magic. As Hook is clearing the way up to the spring Pan appears to him to make a deal, if he kills prince Charming with his hook hand, then he will let Emma and him leave the island. Before Hook can tell him no, because he loves Emma but doesn’t want to be a villain in her eyes, Charming comes up the hill and tells hook he heard the conversation, and starts fighting thinking hook could not do the right thing. This is where he reveals the spring and its powers, with the warning that he can not leave if he drinks from it. Charming agrees if nothing more so he can see his family through this dark time.
Wow, so this was kinda a heart wrenching episode. I felt so bad for Hook especially after he finally got the kiss and the fathers permission to find out that Emma’s true love. He seems to lose everyone he has ever cared about Balefire, his brother and probably Emma. I tried to Catch the Name of the brother when I watched it Cause the last name was Jones I wonder if his brother’s death created Davy Jones’s locker.
Witches of East End
Tonight on witches of east end we finally get some answers about the voodoo doll made of hair. Apparently a man in the families past that was also immortal burned the daughters at the stake because the used their powers to freely and it was drawing attention to the supernaturals at that time. Joanne found her girls burning and tried to kill the man but instead calmed enough down not. She however did take his ear, since this point he has been gathering power to hunt joanna, However when she confronts him in the shape of the principle he tells her that he is not the mastermind but one of many that want to see her burn. The girls are also trying to settle in to having powers. Freya uses a beacon spell to get the brothers together for a dinner with the mother, but the both wind up leaving her for a quiet dinner with the soon to be mother in law. Meanwhile the curse from the resurrection is coming back to haunt Ingred. First her friend goes into shock and begins losing a lot of blood and its thought that she might not make it and the child definitely wont. She is outside crying in the rain when Adam shows up and he holds her and comforts her when the call comes that momma and baby are going to be fine. Ingrid Kisses him and notices blood dripping from his nose and he collapses. Wow I am hoping he is okay, knowing the curse has to come back it seems likely we will lose someone soon. But I like the cop.
