This may be old news but it’s new to me so I figured other Star Wars/Gamer geeks might’ve missed it as well. Fans who’ve been speculating about future Star Wars video games have an answer now in EA Games. The leviathan of video game publishers has signed a deal with Disney to exclusively make Star Wars games for the near future. Ever since Disney bought Lucas Film and closed the doors on the veteran LucasArts, geeks have wondered if the Jedi and Sith’s pixel adventures were over. Now we know they will continue.
They also said the Frostbite 3 engine, which will power the next-generation Battlefield 4, will drive ALL of their future Star Wars titles.
Recently, it was announced the Battlefield studio, DICE, will be developing the next-gen Star Wars: Battlefront game as well as Deadspace studio Visceral on another unknown title.
