We’re kicking off Aug-Heist in a spirit of the Paris Olympics with a French Netflix heist comedy. When two expert thieves and best friends look to retire from a life of crime, they must pull off one last job to buy their way out. The film was directed by Mélanie Laurent, with Adèle Exarchopoulos and Manon Bresch co-starring. Released in 2023 on Netflix, this French-language film was based on a popular graphic novel. But do these feisty heroines steal their way into our hearts, or does this film deserve a last-place finish?
