Image announced today that they will be offering 12-issues subscriptions to their full line of titles (see official release, below).

Not only can you have Image comics shipped monthly to your home, but you get a 30% discount when you do. 35% if you subscribe to EVERY Image title.

The release goes on to mention how there are less Comic Shops then there back in the market’s heyday. The also cite people being in areas without comic shops and not all of their titles finding their way onto shelves at every shop as reasons for the launch.

Not sure what impact, if any, this will have on direct market stores that DO stock all of Image’s books.  We’ll have to watch and see.

Image Direct will allow subscribing readers to receive the latest issues of over 35 titles, including THE WALKING DEAD, SAGA, SEX CRIMINALS, WYTCHES, BLACK SCIENCE, VELVET, RAT QUEENS and more, immediately upon release. Subscribers will receive discounts of up to 30% off and will have the option to subscribe to every available title and receive 35% off.
