Another scoop in the bag by the King of Scoops El Mayimbe. Over at Latino Review today, he posted that Josh Brolin will be voicing Thanos in the upcoming Marvel film Guardians of the Galaxy. The news was confirmed by Variety.
Thanos who was first seen on screen in the post credits scene in The Avengers (and was played by Damion Poitier) is also expected to be the big baddie in Avengers 3.
In the comics, this member of The Eternals (a group of god-like beings who definitely have more power than He-Man) who’s in love with Death, is also in possession of the Infinity Gauntlet. This powerful item is imprinted with the Infinity Gems and has the power to simultaneously manipulate time, space, reality and the human soul.
Josh Brolin’s definitely a great actor and has dipped into the geek category of films before. He portrayed a younger Agent K in Men In Black 3, and the title role in the infamous Jonah Hex, but we won’t talk about that one. Never the less, I’m looking forward to watching him on the big screen as the big bad purple alien.
We’ve only got three months when “Guardians of the Galaxy” opens on August 1st.
