With the upcoming Marvel film Ant-Man coming out in 2015, a few recent casting calls reveals that the Edgar Wright directed film may be really funny.
According to Cinema Blend, the British blog Bludhaven Banter via Yahoo! UK posted a picture of the casting calls for Marvel projects which you can see below. While most are for upcoming episodes of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D (which is definitely interesting), the one below appears to be specifically to try and find a cast for Ant-Man.
As you can see what stands out for each character is that they have to be funny.
This is no surprise as Wright is known for directing films like Shaun of the Dead and Scott Pilgrim vs. the World, each had it’s own type of humor.
Aside from hearing that actor Paul Rudd is rumored for the lead role, and the release date of the film was pushed up from November 2015 to July 2015, as of now, this is all we know about the film. Production will most likely begin in the first half of next year so there’s going to be more casting and production details coming to light.
So what do you think about this supposed comedic tone for Ant-Man?

I love Paul Rudd for AntMan. Scott Lang is a funny guy with that same deadpan delivery. My man crush on the extra dry humor of Jason Bateman will not influence my opinion on the casting of Paul Rudd.
