Qetsiyah

Its almost the weekend!!! I hope you all are gearing up for halloween.  I am planning on going as a Voodoo Queen,for our halloween celebrations here in Hurricane, West Virginia.  I might pull a little from our some of our favorite shows here at Popcorn and Primetime. Little bit of Coven, a little bit of Bennett witch, a Little bit of Original Ancestral Magic and some Disney’s Momma Odie thrown in the mixed.  Tonight we are looking at the third and most intense episode of Vampire Diaries this season.  Biggest news of the night from the episode is the legen-wait-for-it-dary witch is here!! Yep thats right Qetsiyah, that girl, has came to town .

The Vampire Diaries: Original Sin

The Rippers back!!, Stefan is feeding recklessly at  a bar off route 29 when he walks outside  side in the sun, not knowing he doesn’t have his daylight ring on.  Katherine and Elena wake from having a dream about the previous scene, and set out on a quest to find stefan, with Damon Driving the bunch of love drunk girls.  Back at the Bar, a lovely girl saves stefan and tells him that she is Qetsiyah, prefers to be called Tessa now , and that she is not the vengeful scorned lover that the legend made her out to be.  Silia sends the female traveler after Matt to kill, him but when she approaches Matt she explains that he is in Danger that Silas wants him dead. She begins chanting and Matt’s eyes turn black.  Housed in Matt’s body is the soul of the other traveler that she killed  for Silas which we find out is her lover and she plans to make him the main spirit in Matt’s body.  Back at the ranch, Stefan is told by Katisa that she plans on finishing what she started and explains the start of the Doppelgangers. After arriving at the bar, Katherine is threatened by the traveler and runs away with Elena following her to protect her.  Damon continues onto the farm to protect his brother taking the daylight ring with him.  When he gets to the farm house he finds vines binding Stefan to a chair. Tessa is performing a spell to take away Silas ability to use his mental powers using Stefan as a conductor. While Stefan is unconscious, Tessa tells Damon she’s sorry  that he is like her, the one that is  in the way. Damon is doubtful of what she says but she tells him that she has watched it play out again and again over 2000 years. Damon attacks her and she burst his mind with witchcraft causing him to pass out.  When  Elena arrives at the farm Tessa is gone but the finds Stefan in a chair and runs to him, ignoring Damon on the floor. Katherine is held up in a motel  where silas tells her that she is the cure, or at least her blood is. When we are back at the boarding house  Elena calls Matt to check up on him because he sounded odd on the phone.  He doesn’t remember calling her but  notices that his boots are covered in mud and tells her that he will call her in the morning.  Damon tells elena about the conversation and he tells her it does bother him because she is his world and he will basically fight for her. Stefan wakes to everyone surprise with no memory.

I am so happy to see Damon and Elena more love and not willing to let the relationship go even though everyone keeps telling Elena that she should be with Stefan. Next episode I really think I should have nothing cept soft cotton candy that I can throw because it seems that  her trying to get his memories back with him is going to cause a rift in the Delena love affair.  With the emergence of Tessa as a possible powerful villain or powerful friend. I actually hope for a Silas redemption. I never found Silas as a bad person. Selfish, yes, ego driven, yes, but everyone of our characters are murders and at times can pursue their desires  without regard to life , but truly evil no. He wanted to be with his love forever, and the lengths he went it seems was true devotion. I see that love with Damon towards Elena.  but we will have to wait and see
