Its rather upsetting for me to report that author Aaron Allston passed away yesterday in what was believed to be a massive heart attack after collapsing at VisionCon. The author was 53 years old.
Allston had written many books, but I was most familiar with his work in the Star Wars universe. To all of us Star Wars fans Allston was perhaps best known for his work on the X-Wing series with Wraith Squadron. His last Star Wars book was titled Mercy Kill and was released in 2012. I’m ashamed to say that I haven’t finished that book and now I’m a little sad to finish it since it means I won’t get to experience any new Aaron Allston Star Wars books. He was an incredibly talented author and I for one will miss his adventures in the Galaxy Far Far Away.
