When The CW’s Arrow was announced comic book fans everywhere weren’t sure what to expect. Even with the premiere being met with mixed emotions, the show has been a success for The CW and Season 2 set for October.
It’s been confirmed that Barry Allen (The Flash) make an appearance in episodes 8 and 9 of the upcoming season, with an appearance schedule for later in the season as well. The CW seems pretty certain to make this a success apparently bringing in a comic book powerhouse Geoff Johns to write for the episodes.
In a recent press call fans learned that during his debut, the Arrow version of Barry Allen will be “just an ordinary forensic scientist working for the Central City Police Department”. The creative team has also remained adamant that just like most of the series far, The Flash will remain “grounded”. The show plans to treat any extraordinary powers introduced in a “realistic” fashion and they “won’t be treated as commonplace on the show.”
Of course assuming that The Flash is successful in Arrow, the rumor mill has been churning that a spin-off series will make a debut in future years. Would YOU watch a TV series about The Flash?
