A lot of people have been hoping that Agents of Shield would crossover with some of the upcoming Marvel movies. It looks like that wish is coming true later this month. If you haven’t realized it yet, Thor: The Dark World hits theaters this week on November 8. Later on November 19th it seems as though the TV crossover, directed by Jonathan Frakes of Star Trek TNG fame, will hit your TV.
The crossover episode of Agents of Shield is entitled ‘The Well’ and the official synopsis gives some clues as to just what will happen:
In the aftermath of the events chronicled in the feature film Marvel’s Thor: The Dark World, Coulson and the Agents of SHIELD pick up the pieces – one of which threatens to destroy a member of the team.
Just the fact that the movies will change the landscape of the TV show makes the geek version of me super excited. There’s a part of me that really hopes to see Chris Hemsworth reprise his role of Thor on the small screen. Keep in mind that’s not too far-fetched as Samuel L. Jackson has guest starred on the show as Nick Fury.
As of right now Hemsworth is not listed as a guest star in the November 19th episode. But, if Marvel really wants to surprise people and if Hemsworth really is guest starring I’m sure Marvel has things locked up so no leaks get out. Let us know in the comments below if you think Thor will show up on Agents of Shield.
