The Flash: Get the scoop on Killer Frost showdown (Date: 01 May 2017)
With Caitlin (Danielle Panabaker) on death’s door, Team Flash was recently forced to unleash her villainous alter ego, Killer Frost, thus turning their former ally into an icy foe, hell-bent on making them all pay. “Obviously her meta powers have severely messed with her mind, so it’s not like Barry Allen, who is still Barry Allen even though he got super speed,” executive producer Andrew Kreisberg explains. “Her brain chemistry has been severely altered.” However, there may also be no quick fix to wait ails Caitlin, meaning this storyline could draw into next season. “For me personally as an actor, it’s been fun to play Killer Frost and I hope that it lasts a little while and we don’t necessarily tie it up in a bow right away,” Panabaker says. “I’m enjoying getting to play her.” “Obviously Danielle Panabaker is not going anywhere,” Kreisberg adds. “How and if she becomes Caitlin Snow again, or she remains Killer Frost or a version of Killer Frost, into season 4, you’re going to have to tune in.”

We are bringing back people we’ve had all season. We have Calista Flockhart coming back. In the last two episodes, we have Lynda Carter returning as the President, Sharon Leal is coming back as M’gann. Obviously, there’s Tyler as Superman. These are some of the biggest episodes we’ve ever done. We’re so proud of Teri Hatcher, and so amazed she’s on our show and killing it as Rhea. Executive producer Andrew Kreisberg tells EW, “What’s really cool for anyone who thought that there wasn’t a plan, or we didn’t know, or we were making this up as we go, this was always where we were heading,” Kreisberg says. “The idea that the darkest villain we could come up with was actually a very damaged version of our hero was interesting and fresh to us. We’re not only competing with all the stuff that we’ve done on Flash, but we’re always competing with everything we’ve done on all the other shows. So to have our lead actor be both the hero and the villain isn’t something we’ve done before, so that was exciting for us as storytellers.”

PRE-FINALE: While Team Arrow, A.R.G.U.S. and the SCPD launch a manhunt for Adrian Chase, Helix offers Felicity a solution to that problem — in trade for something big and illegal. On the heels of that, things get intense when Oliver and Felicity are trapped in the bunker together, while Lyla and Diggle deal with marital issues. Oliver also will deal with the forced release of violent criminals prosecuted by Chase as well as the delivery of a mysterious corpse encased in concrete.
SEASON FINALE (MAY 24): Chase keeps 10 steps ahead of Team Arrow, forcing Oliver to face his violent past and answer the question once and for all: Is he a killer, or a hero? Is Arrow Planning A The Walking Dead-Style Season Finale Cliffhanger? It Sounds Like It (Date: 24 April 2017)
During an interview with ComicBook.com earlier today, Arrow executive producer Wendy Mericle referred to the upcoming season finale as a cliffhanger, and indicated that fans might not know who lives and who dies until season six. “We’re going to have a big bang of an ending, and we’re not going to know really the outcome until the end of season 6,” Mericle told ComicBook.com. “We don’t often do cliffhangers in the way that we’re doing this season, and we’re excited about this ending.” Mericle said of the flashbacks that have served as a kind of backup story in the show’s first five seasons, “Moving forward into season 6, we’re not calling it a reboot, because really the show is called Arrow and it’s still about Oliver and his team, and that’s not changing, but we don’t have the flashbacks. What that’s going to allow us to do is keep that device when we want it, but we don’t have to keep pushing the five year storyline down the road. It gives us a lot more real estate to play around with, a lot more space to hopefully bring in some cool villains and to tell new character stories, and we have a lot of new characters on the show whose backstories we haven’t really had the chance to experience.”

Supergirl Casts Man of Steel and Smallville Alum Mark Gibbon as General Zod (Date: 21 April 2017)
Mark Gibbon, a Canadian character actor who played one of the oil rig workers rescued by Superman in Man of Steel, will next take on the role of General Zod in Supergirl. Gibbon will be a recognizable face to fans of geek entertainment, with roles on TV and in film including Smallville, Arrow, and The X-Files. He also has a voice-acting resume that includes playing the Incredible Hulk, The Thing, and Nick Fury in various Marvel animated projects.

The Flash’s Future Shock: ‘Barry Is in Shambles’ After Losing Iris (Date: 20 April 2017)
The Barry of the future “is a guy who has lost everything,” Grant Gustin told TVLine while standing adjacent to the Flash’s time tunnel set, which for this episode was made to look dusty, desolate and in disrepair. With a nod to that mess, “Barry looks pretty similar — he is in shambles,” Gustin said. “He does not look good.” Devastated by losing the love of his life, this Barry is “totally alone” until his past self arrives, setting the stage for double the Gustin. “It’s a lot of scenes with Barry and Barry, and they’re pretty emotional scenes from both sides,” says the actor. All told, “They were some of the more challenging scenes I’ve done — if not just this year, in the whole series, because I’m my own scene partner.”

VIBE FACES OFF AGAINST KILLER FROST – Barry (Grant Gustin) and the team meet Tracy Brand (guest star Anne Dudek), a scientist, who may be the key to stopping Savitar. Unfortunately, Killer Frost (Danielle Panabaker) is also after Tracy so Team Flash must battle their old friend, which proves to be particularly difficult for Cisco (Carlos Valdes). Joe (Jesse L. Martin) and Cecile’s (guest star Danielle Nicolet) relationship takes a big turn.

Manu Bennett’s Deathstroke Will Return To Arrow, Despite Actor’s Denials (Date: 12 April 2017)
Bennett had tweeted that on Monday that he wasn’t returning to Arrow, and then followed it up yesterday with a tweet that read, “Enough b.s about d.s!!! FACT: Deathstroke Arrow are currently filming in Vancouver IS NOT ME. I am in Auckland filming The Shannara Chronicles.” While Bennett was not currently filming Arrow, it seems that he is or will be at some point this week. The “other” Deathstroke was likely a stunt performer, there to shoot some scenes for which Bennett wouldn’t have removed the character’s trademark helmet.

Kotobukiya Debuts Stunning Wonder Woman Movie Statue (Date: 07 April 2017)
Wonder Woman is part of Kotobukiya’s ArtFX line of statues, which are all in 1/6 scale. The statue features Diana in an action-ready pose, bracing for combat with her sword and shield in hand. The base suggests it will interlock with other statues, though on its own is rather boring. Still, the lush reds and rich golds and blues are stunning, and Kotobukiya always excels at sculpting hair. The statue also holds a well-crafted resemblance to Gal Gadot, who has her trademark golden lasso at her side. Wonder Woman will retail for 13,800 Yen, which translates to about $124 USD. She is shipping sometime in July of 2017.

Greg Rucka and Liam Sharp To Leave Wonder Woman After June’s #25 (Date: 12 April 2017)
Both writer Greg Rucka and artist Liam Sharp announced today on social media that they will leave DC’s twice-monthly Wonder Woman title after the oversized Wonder Woman #25 ships on June 28. Rucka took to his Tumblr to tell fans that he would be leaving the title due to the strain of the twice-monthly schedule. Identifying it as his last issue on the title “for the time being,” Rucka advised fans against assuming the worst and wrote, “I just can’t maintain the pace on the title while also fulfilling my commitments to my other collaborators. It is, genuinely, as simple as that.” Shortly thereafter, Sharp took to Facebook to confirm that he, too, would be leaving the title — but cryptically teasing that he wouldn’t be going too far.

‘DC Super Hero Girls’ Writer to Take on ‘Wonder Woman’ Comic This Summer (Exclusive) (Date: 13 April 2017)
Shea Fontana will take over the title in July, following a critically acclaimed run by writer Greg Rucka. Fontana has signed on to write five issues of the twice-monthly series for the heroine, beginning with July’s No. 26, with a storyline that will introduce a new villain into the DC Universe. The move comes fresh off the success of her DC Super Hero Girls work. The artist for Fontana’s first two issues will be Mirka Andolfo, whose work has previously appeared in the DC Comics: Bombshells series. Fontana and Andolfo’s first issue of Wonder Woman, No. 26, will be released in comic stores and digitally July 12, with No. 27 to be released July 26.

Amell first teased the “Olicity”-centric episode last month, tweeting that he was filming the “first episode EVER where the same actor shares every single one of my scenes with me. Going to be great.” He added, “And by my scenes I mean our scenes. By definition. Super cool episode.” Amell was referring to Season 5, Episode 20, which is titled “Underneath,” airs during May sweeps and will revisit, in depth, Felicity’s termination of their wedding engagement after learning that Oliver 1) had a son, 2) didn’t tell her, and 3) then didn’t include his bride-to-be in the decision to send young William and his mother away, to safety.

American Nina Warrior announced its first ever celebrity edition Wednesday, and the cast is pretty nuts. Arrow’s Stephen Amell will trade in his salmon ladder for the floating steps and compete against Dancing with the Stars’ Derek Hough, Parenthood’s Erika Christensen, Today’s Natalie Morales, comedian Nikki Glaser, actress Mena Suvari, former Yankees player Nick Swisher, comedian Jeff Dye and Olympic decathlon and heptathon champion Ashton Eaton. The special episode will kick off the night on Thursday, May 25 at 8/7c on NBC.

Arrow: Dangerous Liaisons Synopsis Released (Date: 06 April 2017)
The CW has released the official synopsis for “Dangerous Liaisons,” the next episode of Arrow season 5. Oliver (Stephen Amell), Team Arrow, ARGUS and the SCPD kick off a citywide manhunt for Adrian Chase (Josh Segurra). Helix tells Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards) they have a way to find Chase but they will need something big, and illegal, from her in return. Legends of Tomorrow EP Klemmer Compares Season 3 To Game of Thrones (Date: 03 April 2017)
Executive producer Phil Klemmer suggested that fans should get used to losses and that they’re committed to going the full Game of Thrones in season 3 so that fans never have the comfort of assuming that anyone is safe. “It’s always been a rule since the Hawkman death [in the pilot], Greg [Berlanti] said it before the show was even a show about how his mission was to make this not like network TV, that no one would be bulletproof, that it was more like the Ned Stark idea of anybody could lose their head at any time. As we’ve been roughly breaking out next season, we’re more committed to that than ever. Again, that’s a really bittersweet thing because we think the dynamic of the characters have is so special and wonderful, and at the same time, you don’t want the audience to become too comfortable on the show. It is supposed to be a wild ride. You need that real consequences and real bloodshed to counterbalance the fluffiness and the silliness of the show. Otherwise it would just float off into space.”

How The Supergirl Effects Team Brought Parasite To Life (Date: 04 April 2017)
The CW has released this video showing the visual effects for the Parasite episode of Supergirl from earlier this season. The episode was called Changing, the sixth of the season, and featured scientist Rudy Jones becoming the classic DC villain. It also showed us both Mon-El and Guardian in action after Supergirl and J’onn J’onzz were drained by Parasite. There’s no dialogue in the video, but you can see from the different effects shots how many different layers are needed for some of what look like simple scenes and how much of the shots are practical compared to computer generated.

At least one of Legends of Tomorrow‘s season-ending mysteries has been solved.
As the CW drama’s sophomore run came to a close this week, Rip Hunter (played by original cast member Arthur Darvill) quietly packed a bag and bid the Waverider and its new captain, Sara, adieu. That, however, does not mean viewers have seen the last of the Brit.
“We’ve got plans for Rip for next year,” Legends showrunner Marc Guggenheim told Entertainment Weekly Radio on Thursday. “It’s just in a different capacity than him being a member of the team.” As for another burning Q — whether sister series such as Arrow and The Flash will reflect the weird reality on hand when the Legends crash-landed in 2017 Los Angeles — Guggenheim in a word said no. “We never want television to feel like a homework assignment,” where viewers of one #DCTV show must track all of them. “That said… there will be an explanation in Season 3 as to why you’re not seeing dinosaurs run through Central City.”

The Once And Future Flash Synopsis Released Online (Date: 06 April 2017)
Barry (Grant Gustin) travels to the future to find out Savitar’s still unknown identity in the hopes of saving Iris (Candice Patton). Upon his arrival in 2024, Barry encounters future versions of his Team Flash friends, who, following the death of Iris, have become very different people, profoundly impacted by their showdown with Savitar. It will be up to Barry to infuse a sense of hope back into the team, as he proves to be hero his future friends have been waiting for. Meanwhile, back in 2017, the hunt for Killer Frost (Danielle Panabaker) continues. Tom Cavanagh directed the episode written by Carina Adly MacKenzie.

Lena asks Kara to attend Jack’s conference with her for support. When Kara sees Snapper (guest Star Ian Gomez) in attendance she’s inspired to tap back into her reporter skills and questions Jack on his discovery, which ultimately leads to a bigger investigation that puts everyone in danger. ABRA KADABRA Summoned for CW’s THE FLASH (Date: 06 March 2017)
Actor David Dastmalchian has been cast as the villainous Abra Kadabra for the current season of the CW’s The Flash. In comic books, Abra Kadabra is a time-traveling villain and sometimes Rogue who uses his future technology to simulate magic powers in pursuit of criminal gain. As for Dastmalchian, the actor is a comic book TV and movie veteran, having appeared on Gotham, and in the films Ant-Man and The Dark Knight.

Ultimately, they offered him episode 17, which he described as “sweet,” saying that it was nice that producers liked the job he was doing enough to bring him back within the season.

The classic DC Comics rogue, better known as Captain Boomerang, was introduced on the third season of “Arrow,” in the two-part crossover with “The Flash,” but hasn’t been shown since. However, actor Nick Tarabay suggests that could change soon. “Who really misses this guy?” the actor wrote in a tweet containing a photo of Boomerang. “Cause as you know….What goes around ALWAYS comes back around.” When Boomerang was last seen, he was incarcerated in the secret A.R.G.U.S. supermax prison on Lian Yu. How or when Boomerang might escape will have to remain mystery as of now.

Marc Guggenheim says ‘Arrow’s’ Vigilante is someone we already know (Date: 26 March 2017)
Vigilante has made a bad habit of getting in Oliver’s (Stephen Amell) way — and the Green Arrow’s way for that matter — all year, but no matter how often he shows up, we’re no closer to unmasking him. According to executive producer Marc Guggenheim, that’s a mystery for Season 6. We know who it is, but we were kind of intrigued by the idea of having a mystery that led into the next season,” Guggenheim told us at Paleyfest 2017. “We were excited at the prospect of just letting this play out for a little while longer, and it gives us something cool to do in Season 6. “As a general rule, I’m not a fan of mystery characters who when you take off the mask the audience goes, ‘What a minute, I’ve never seen that person before in my life,’” Guggenheim jokes. “I’m probably not spoiling anything by saying whoever’s underneath the Vigilante mask, you’ve seen that person before.”

ARROW: KATIE CASSIDY WILL RETURN AS SERIES REGULAR FOR SEASON 6 (Date: 27 March 2017)
Laurel Lance is back! Sort of. Though her character died in Season 4, longtime “Arrow” star Katie Cassidy will return, but with a twist: she will play Black Siren, Earth-2’s evil version of Laurel, as a series regular in Season 6. Additionally, Black Siren will feature in the last two episodes of Season 5. “One of the things that most excites us about ‘Arrow’ is that we go where the story takes us. Last year, the story took us to the tragic death of Laurel Lance. This year, our midseason finale reintroduced us to Laurel’s doppelgänger, Black Siren,” explained executive producer Marc Guggenheim in a statement. “We were so taken by Katie’s fearless interpretation of this character that we knew her story was not yet finished. We couldn’t be more thrilled to welcome Katie back to ‘Arrow’ as Black Siren, though as her appearances on ‘Arrow’ and ‘DC’s Legends of Tomorrow’ this season show, she never really left the family.”

Arrow: What’s really going on with Helix? (Date: 28 March 2017)
“We are going to see somebody [else],” Mericle teases. “What’s interesting about it is he’s not actually at Helix right now, so there’s going to be a big episode where we find out who this person is, and Felicity is involved in helping him. It’s really messed up.” But Felicity’s dealings with Helix will also help her to better understand what Team Arrow — Oliver (Stephen Amell) in particular — have been facing over the last five seasons. “Felicity’s use of Pandora is very similar to Oliver and Diggle’s [David Ramsey] use of violence,” EP Marc Guggenheim says. “It’s the hacker equivalent. You’re using violence for a good means, but violence is not necessarily a good thing. So what’s the cost to Felicity in doing that? We don’t want to turn Felicity into a killer, but we wanted to explore how Felicity has been spending basically five years with Team Arrow now, and she’s been spending five years with people who solve problems by not just resorting to violence, but by resorting to means that are morally questionable. Marc Guggenheim told EW, “It’s always nice when you can pull in a character from one of the other shows. We talked about a lot of different ideas, and I said, ‘Since this is an alternate reality and we’ll probably never have the opportunity to do so again, I think it would be fun if we did Felicity as a superhero,’ because I’ve said it before, I’ll say it again: I have zero intention of ever putting Felicity in a mask and costume on Arrow. There’s two lines in the sand that I’ve drawn for Arrow for myself,” Guggenheim says. “I can’t speak for Greg [Berlanti] or for Wendy [Mericle], but for as long as I’m involved with the show, the two things I never want to do is kill off Thea [Willa Holland] and put Felicity in a mask and a costume. Those, to me, are two lines that I just think are a bridge too far. Thea, because we’ve taken so many family members away from Oliver, and Felicity because when you put a character like that in a costume, I think it diminishes who that character is and it makes the idea of superheroics seem silly.”

Will The Thinker Be The Flash’s Season 4 Big Bad? (Date: 28 March 2017)
When Abra Kadabra was talking to The Flash about his most dangerous foes, he rattled off a number of familiar names, including Zoom and Eobard Thawne…and one less-familiar one (at least to the TV audience): “DeVoe.” Longtime comic book readers would recognize that name: Clifford DeVoe is a longtime Flash and Titans villain better known as The Thinker. Created in 1943, The Thinker is one of The Flash’s earliest villains. Originally a foe to Jay Garrick, DeVoe battled three generations of Flashes before his death in The Flash #134 in 1998. After his death, though, his brain patterns were used to create an AI that went on to become an antihero.

Cody Runnels, AKA wrestling star Cody Rhodes — who once tussled against Stephen Amell in the ring at WWE SummerSlam when he was wrestling under the name Stardust — is returning to Arrow as the villainous Derek Sampson. Rhodes was introduced as Sampson back in Season 5’s third episode, “A Matter of Trust.” Rhodes will be back in episode 521, which will debut near the end of the season in late April or early May.

It was also just something different for this season. We wanted to change up how we introduced the big bad and change up when we did it and how we did it. Hopefully, we succeeded in that this year.” She also said that Prometheus is going to mess with Lance as well.

TV Series ArtFX+ Arrow Statue Images From Kotobukiya (Date: 09 Mar 2016)
Kotobukiya Japan has released official images for the upcoming 1/10 scale Arrow TV Series Arrow ArtFX+ statue. The statue is based on actor Stephen Amell as he appears currently on the CW super hero drama. You can have the statue posed with just the bow at Oliver Queen’s side or switch out the arms so that Oliver is holding his bow with an arrow in front of him in a more action like pose. A display base will also be included. Look for it to be released in August 2017.

Dolph Lundgren returning to Arrow and The Expendables franchise (Date: 07 March 2017)
Soon you’ll be able to see a whole lot more of the Rocky IV action star, who tells EW that he has plans to return to both Arrow — on which he plays the villainous Konstantin Kovar — and The Expendables movie series. “I’m going back at the end of the season,” says Lundgren of Arrow. “I’m doing three more [episodes], trying to work it in somehow.” He adds, “I have a lot of fun, because my character talks quite a bit, which is nice, and he’s kind of comedic.”

ARROW: Oliver Queen Suits Up For The First Time In Photos From The Next Episode (Date: 08 March 2017)
[This isn’t the next episode; this is for the March 22 episode] Prometheus’ secret identity has finally been revealed (or so it seems), so these images from the episode of Arrow – titled “Kapiushon” – put the focus on Oliver Queen’s time spent in Russia. With that comes the return of Dolph Lundgren, hence why the former playboy has decided to suit up here. This isn’t the first time we’ve seen “The Hood” in flashbacks, but it is the closest Oliver has come to being the Green Arrow in the show’s flashbacks. From here, it seems as if we should now expect to see his journey back to Star City begin as it looks like the vigilante is going to take the gangster down.

Supergirl: Teri Hatcher, Darren Criss Come to National City in “Star-Crossed” Synopsis (Date: 02 March 2017)
The CW has released a synopsis for the upcoming sixteenth episode of Supergirl’s second season, titled ‘Star-Crossed,’ which will air on March 20th. The episode will serve as the opening chapter in the musical crossover between Supergirl and The Flash. A new villain (guest star Teri Hatcher) comes to National City, putting Supergirl (Melissa Benoist) on high alert. Meanwhile, Winn’s (Jeremy Jordan) girlfriend, Lyra (guest star Tamzin Merchant), gets Winn in trouble with the law. Maggie (guest star Floriana Lima) attempts to help Winn but old loyalties get in the way. The Music Meister (Darren Criss) attacks Supergirl.

THE FLASH/SUPERGIRL MUSICAL CROSSOVER SYNOPSIS SETS UP A DANCING DREAMWORLD (Date: 03 March 2017)
The first part of the musical crossover will take place on March 20, in the “Supergirl” episode titled “Star-Crossed.” The musical will continue on “The Flash” during “Duet,” which will air on March 21: DARREN CRISS (“GLEE”) GUEST STARS AS THE MUSIC MEISTER IN THE FLASH AND SUPERGIRL MUSICAL CROSSOVER – Barry (Grant Gustin) and team are surprised when Mon-El (guest star Chris Wood) and Hank Henshaw (guest star David Harewood) arrive on their Earth carrying a comatose Supergirl (guest star Melissa Benoist) who was whammied by the Music Meister (guest star Darren Criss). Unable to wake her up, they turn to Team Flash to save her. However, the Music Meister surprises The Flash and puts him in a similar coma, one that Team Flash can’t cure. Kara and Barry wake up without their powers in an alternate reality where life is like a musical and the only way to escape is by following the script, complete with singing and dancing, to the end. Actor David Dastmalchian has been cast as the villainous Abra Kadabra for the current season of the CW’s The Flash. In comic books, Abra Kadabra is a time-traveling villain and sometimes Rogue who uses his future technology to simulate magic powers in pursuit of criminal gain. Arrow’s Stephen Amell addresses idea of Dinah-Oliver romance (Date: 28 Feb 2017)
After the shocking death of Laurel Lance (Katie Cassidy), some fans of the comics were disheartened by the fact that Oliver (Stephen Amell) would not end up with the Black Canary — in the comics, Oliver married Dinah Laurel Lance, the character portrayed by Cassidy on Arrow. That all changed when Juliana Harkavy was added to the cast as Dinah Drake, otherwise known in the comics as the first Black Canary. However, that doesn’t necessarily mean there will be a Green Arrow-Black Canary romance, especially considering the show has never been beholden to the comics. “The idea that Oliver would end up with the Black Canary being Katie Cassidy or any new iteration thereof? To me, it could happen, it could not, but it’s certainly not destined to happen or predesigned to happen,” Amell tells EW.

With the early renewals, Kreisberg explained, the shows can take advantage of pre-planned off-days in production to accommodate the cast members who are appearing on multiple shows in a short time, something that was particularly difficult last year with “Supergirl,” since series lead Melissa Benoist appeared in both a normal episode of her show, and then as a guest on “The Flash,” ‘Arrow’ and ‘Legends.’ ‘Supergirl’ was the show we needed to shut down the most, and it was the one we didn’t have any opportunity to,” Kreisberg said. “So now that we’ve gotten the early pick up and we’ve started designing the seasons, we’re building in those dark days — and actually more dark days on ‘Supergirl’ than the other shows — to make it a little easier.”

‘Black Lightning’: Nafessa Williams & China Anne McClain To Star As Jefferson’s Daughters In the CW Pilot (Date: 02 March 2017)
Nafessa Williams (Code Black) and China Anne McClain (House of Payne) have landed leads opposite Cress Williams in Black Lightning, the CW’s DC drama pilot.McCain plays Jefferson’s younger daughter, the teenage Jennifer Piere, an independent, outspoken scholar-athlete with a wild streak of her own. Williams is Anissa Pierce — passionate and quick-witted, Jefferson’s twenty-something daughter balances the demands of medical school with her job teaching part-time at her father’s school. In the DC comics, Anissa and Jennifer follow in their father’s footsteps and become superheroes, taking on the names of Thunder and Lightning, respectively.

Supergirl Producer Talks Earth-38 Arrowverse Dopplegangers (Date: 27 Feb 2017)
Supergirl’s setting on an alternate Earth (Earth 38 to be specific) already placed it within the DC TV Multiverse – yet we haven’t run into dopplegangers of DC TV characters from Earth’s 1 and 2. That’s something of interesting flaw in continuity, so will it be something that Supergirl will address? According to executive producer Andrew Kriesberg: it won’t be. According to Kriesberg, “the problem with that is if we do that once, we’re going to open the floodgates of insanity.” According to Kriesberg, it would take “a really good story” for Supergirl to get alternate versions of Barry or Oliver on the show; or conversly, an alternate version of Kara on Earth 1. In short: it would have to be an event.

IRIS WEST WILL HAVE A KEY ROLE IN FLASH/SUPERGIRL MUSICAL EPISODE (Date: 01 March 2017)
Co-showrunner Aaron Helbing revealed that Iris West (Candice Patton) will have a big part to play in the adventure. “She plays a pretty key role in the musical episode. The story really centers around Iris,” said Helbing. “Aside from Barry and Kara, Iris plays a huge role in the musical.” The episode will also feature songs from “Crazy Ex-Girlfriend’s” Rachel Bloom and the “La La Land” songwriting duo of Benj Pasek and Justin Paul.

Supergirl taps iZombie star as potential DC villain (Date: 01 March 2017)
Rahul Kohli, who plays medical examiner Dr. Ravi Chakrabarti on The CW zombie series, will play Jack Spheer, a charismatic tech genius who has spent decades working on a medical innovation that will eradicate major illnesses and change the face of the world – if it works. In the comics, Spheer’s invention mutated him into the villain known as Biomax, who had the power of mind control. It’s unclear whether his character on the show will follow the same path. Kohli will appear in episode 18, titled “Ace Reporter,” which executive producer Andrew Kreisberg recently revealed will heavily feature Kara’s journalism side.

As there is no Batman in the Arrowvrse, this Talia instead finds herself involved with Green arrow. This season, it’s been revealed that she was the one who rescued Oliver from Ishmael Gregor and then proceeded to push him into fulfilling his destiny. Talia has trained Oliver, but she’s also an al Ghul. Can she be trusted? Does the apple fall far from the psychotic family tree? Doig recently spoke with CBR about making Talia a badass, mentoring Oliver, her possible connections to Prometheus and the inevitable showdown with Nyssa.

ARROW’S PROMETHEUS SPEAKS OUT ABOUT HIS STUNNING IDENTITY REVEAL (Date: 01 March 2017)
Speaking to CBR and other reporters, Segarra opened up about his role as Prometheus and how he balanced Adrian Chase’s two very different identities. He also shared some stories about how and when he learned about the big twist, as well as why he studied up on Vigilante before arriving in Vancouver to start filming Season 5. “I’m telling them, ‘Oh, I’m playing this guy… I don’t really know too much about him, but who knows? It’ll be fun, right?’ And then they announced Adrian Chase: Vigilante. And I’m like, ‘Oh my gosh, I’m playing Vigilante!’
So now, I get to Vancouver, I think I’m playing this guy Vigilante. That’s who everybody thought, right? So I start reading ‘Vigilante’ comics and reading about Chase and reading about the history of these guys. Then I get to work and I’m talking to Marc. I’m like, ‘Marc, man, I’m really doing my research. I’m really being studious about this Vigilante guy.’ And he’s like, ‘What do you mean?’ And I’m like, ‘Oh, dude, you announced it finally! I’m going to be a great Adrian Chase: Vigilante!’ And he says, ‘That’s not who you’re playing.’ ‘What?!’ He’s like, ‘Yeah, you’re playing this guy.’ And that’s when they took me out on the city and they told me everything. So, to put it this way, me and my wife and my doggie, we moved over to Vancouver thinking one thing and it was revealed once I got here who I was actually playing. That whole journey began at that moment. I feel I’ll always look back and laugh at this.”

ARROW EP WENDY MERICLE ADDRESSES PROMETHEUS’ IDENTITY & MOTIVATIONS (Date: 01 March 2017)
In the wake of this stunning reveal, executive producer Wendy Mericle spoke to CBR and other reporters about what’s in store for Team Arrow now that Prometheus’ identity is out in the open. She addressed why she and the other showrunners made Chase Prometheus instead of Vigilante, why those chose now to make this reveal, what drives Chase to torture Oliver Queen and more. Why make Chase Prometheus instead of Vigilante? “I think one of the reasons we did that was because everyone would be thinking, “Of course he’s Vigilante!” Adrian Chase is Vigilante in the comic books, as you pointed out, and we thought it would be a really fun sort of twist to do what we’ve always done on the show, which is to take the comic book mythology and turn it on its head and see what kind of story we could mine from a surprise like that. It was also just something different for this season. We wanted to change up how we introduced the big bad and change up when we did it and how we did it. Hopefully, we succeeded in that this year.” She also said that Prometheus is going to mess with Lance as well.

FUNKO UNVEILS WONDER WOMAN MOVIE TOY LINE (Date: 17 Feb 2017)
While the average Funko comic character is brightly colored, this version of Wonder Woman is tinted sepia; with the Pop! and Rock Candy figures, you feel as if you’re looking at her through a photo filter. That certainly appears to match the aesthetic of director Patty Jenkins’ film. Also notable is Diana’s weapons of choice: Although her famed Lasso of Truth is slung on her belt, she wields a sword and shield, emphasizing her role as a warrior. In addition to the Amazon Princess, there will also be Pop! figures of Steve Trevor and Queen Hippolyta.
