It appears every time Google plugs one leak in the Nexus 5 ship another springs up – this time courtesy of a company in my fair country. Yesterday on their Facebook page Canadian telecom WIND Mobile posted a pre-registration for the Nexus 5.
The pre-registration page (above) seems to support not only the recent posting in the Google Play store but also the Nexus 5 specifications rumored months ago (below).
Although WIND pulled the pre-registration page hours after posting it, the Nexus 5 leaks kept coming with one user on RevScene forum posting the following picture of units allegedly in stock at a Canadian Distribution center claiming “we have 4000 Units for Western Canada, however the Eastern Canadian Warehouse got 26,000 units today. i think they will supply most of Rogers, as most of our units are spoken for by Bell/Telus.”
In recent weeks reports surfaced that Google wanted to launch the Nexus 5 sooner but had to delay due to some regulatory set-backs. With all of these leaks coming from major sources recently, I can’t help but wonder if perhaps this was the case.
